About Bloomfield FC

Hi Folks,
Just giving you all some notice of date and venue for our under 15's CUP FINAL v Carryduff Colts. It will be at Crusaders FC, Seaview Shore Rd on Monday 2nd Janaury at 12pm KO. Andrew, Jose & all the lads had a great win v Celtic Boys in their semi final and they firmly believe they can go one more and WIN it. We know for a fact the lads would enjoy a lot of vocal backing on the day so ALL of you and any other family & friends that are free get them along also to support the boys.  So you will all have had a full day to sort your New Years Eve hangover out, get yourselves down to Shore Rd in good time to show the lads before Kick off at 12pm, that the entire club are behind them on the day.

Club history

Hello, and welcome to Bloomfield Football Club’s Website, Bloomfield Football Club are a cross community club based in East Belfast, Northern Ireland. The club was formed from members of Bloomfield Presbyterian church on the Beersbridge Road out of the 24th Boys Brigade during the 1950's. The team was formerly known as the 24th Old Boys until the mid-1990’s when we changed our name to Bloomfield Football Club.

Currently, we have approximately 165 playing and 35 non playing members within our club. We have 3 senior teams competing in 2 different leagues. Both 1st and 2nd teams compete in "The Northern Amateur Football League" divisions 1C and 3B respectively, while the 3rd team compete in the 1st division of the South Antrim Football League.

We also have 6 Junior teams with age's ranging from under 8 to under 16; our 2 youngest groups play in the IFA Development Leagues each Saturday morning in small sided & reduced sized pitch's & balls to aid good progress at these age's. 2 of our other teams compete in the South Belfast Youth League. We also look each year to run a Munchkin group after Christmas each year for 5-7 year olds preparing them for team football when they reach the required age.

The success of the Club over the past 15 years has been directly linked to a Management Agreement Facility in place with Belfast City Council (BCC) for the Orangefield Playing fields Complex. Bloomfield have been managing this site for BCC for 15 years now and ensure that the facility is used by a wide variety of teams across the city and province from a number of football associations, as well as local schools and community groups.

Bloomfield FC continue to promote cross community initiatives with teams from across the country and in Ireland. We look to stage a Junior Invitational Football Tournament during the close season & summer months and a number of teams from across Northern Ireland are invited to take part.

If you would like any further information about Bloomfield FC or contents within this website, please contact the Club Secretary on the email address in contact section.
